David Kavanagh studied Theology for four years and holds a Degree and a Higher Diploma from Maynooth University. He spent the early part of his career working with teenagers both as a lay school chaplain and as a childcare worker.
David appears regularly on Newstalk Radio, Spin Fm and many local radio stations. He has appeared in the national newspapers and is frequently a guest on RTE and TV3 chat-shows.
David is known for his practical sound advice combined with his dry wit, which brings a light-hearted tone to any topic. David is a systemic psychotherapist who tries to work holistically with people as much as possible.
David was the marriage therapist on the BBC’S six-part T.V. programme “You’re not the man I married” in which he helped troubled couples reconnect with one another.
Ryan Tubridy interviewed David in his capacity as Ireland’s best known Dating Coach in which David spoke of the challenges of the dating scene for both men and women.
David also runs the Avalon team of Relationship Consultants who deliver pre-marriage and post-marriage programmes around the country. David’s team of therapists have a huge range of experience to offer clients with different issues.
David is registered Systemic Family Therapist and is registered with the Family Therapy Association of Ireland.
David now offers Mindfulness workshops to companies and organisations through his new business Mindlab. He has a passion for Neuroscience and is available to speak on this fascinating topic to a wide variety of audiences.
